Untrapping Product Teams

Product teams are drowning into anti-patterns. It’s time to help them untrap themselves and create value sooner.

Challenges. Anti-patterns. Deadlines. The lives of product teams have never been more challenging. With ever-increasing pressure, delivering value becomes daunting. Product teams become feature factories and end up maximizing features nobody needs. That’s not what Product teams are supposed to be. It’s time to help teams untrap themselves and create value sooner! I will share with you what you can do from today on to transform your scenario and become a value maximizer instead of a feature factory.

David is a passionate Product Leader with ten years of product management experience. Over the last years, he led many product teams in successful endeavors. His biggest fear is the comfort zone. His motto is, the faster we learn, the faster we succeed. Over the last years, he’s been working as a Product Leader. He’s focused on coaching teams to deliver the highest value for their customers. One of his hobbies is writing articles. He shares his ideas on Medium, and loves learning from everyone.

How sustainable enablement is the foundation of successful transformation

August 23, 2022

1:15 PM to 2:15 PM EST

Everyone talks about empowerment, yet enabling people do work is the secret ingredient to any (agile) transformation.

How often have you heard that EMPOWERMENT is the key to any agile or digital transformation? There is even a book called EMPOWERED by Marty Cagan. Now, what most people completely miss is that EMPOWERMENT is the second step and there is always a prerequisite. That prerequisite, that first step in any transformation is called ENABLEMENT. Some organizations already work on that… but what do they really do? They setup a bunch of (certified) 2-day live trainings and believe that they have done their job. The problem is that as inspirational as some of these 2-day trainings are, they are not sustainable. They do not result in ENABLEMENT. We need a more holistic and a more sustainable approach. This talk will walk you through some scientifically proven ideas on why ENABLEMENT matters, how enablement becomes the foundation of any transformation, and what a sustainable enablement journey can look like.
