How sustainable enablement is the foundation of successful transformation

August 23, 2022

1:15 PM to 2:15 PM EST

Everyone talks about empowerment, yet enabling people do work is the secret ingredient to any (agile) transformation.

How often have you heard that EMPOWERMENT is the key to any agile or digital transformation? There is even a book called EMPOWERED by Marty Cagan. Now, what most people completely miss is that EMPOWERMENT is the second step and there is always a prerequisite. That prerequisite, that first step in any transformation is called ENABLEMENT. Some organizations already work on that… but what do they really do? They setup a bunch of (certified) 2-day live trainings and believe that they have done their job. The problem is that as inspirational as some of these 2-day trainings are, they are not sustainable. They do not result in ENABLEMENT. We need a more holistic and a more sustainable approach. This talk will walk you through some scientifically proven ideas on why ENABLEMENT matters, how enablement becomes the foundation of any transformation, and what a sustainable enablement journey can look like.
